Since 1805, our family has been cultivating this vineyard, based in National Park of Port-Cros. At first, it was an autarcic farm, hunting and fishing, producing fruits, vegetables, cereals, olive oil, and of course wine. Then, the last one became the main production. In the heart of the Peninsula of Saint Tropez, we produce AOC Côtes de Provence wines, and also our own olive oil.
30 hectares of vineyards and 370 olive trees are cultivated on the estate. Aware of our role in the local ecosystem preservation, we cultivate our land with respect for this protected natural place, as well as its exceptional biodiversity.
The south facing slopes of the vineyard, plus the land predominantly clay shale, give the vineyard special qualities; a microclimate protects the quality of the grapes, that we optimize by limiting yields and a constant work of the ground. We produce the grapes according to the rules of organic agriculture.
Types of grape
- Cabernet Sauvigon
- Ugni Blanc
The Olive Trees
We cultivate two hectares of organic olive trees. If the majority of the 370 trees are young, we also maintain the old olive trees scattered over the field. We have different breeds like some Cailleutier, some Bouteillans, and some Aglandeau. The harvest usually takes place in late October.
We pick the olives by hand, spreading a tarp under the tree, then “painting” the branches with small rakes. You should know that 5 to 10 kilos of olives are needed to make 1 liter of oil. Our olive oil is fine, soft and fragrant, and will perfectly season dishes.
